At Summit Learning Trust we are committed to having a positive impact in our academies, local and wider communities to build on our current work on being a sustainable organisation. We will seek to avoid a negative impact on our environment and climate. Linking to our within communities, we are committed to:

We will focus our academies on sustainability projects and practices with the involvement and support of members of the West Midlands Lieutenancy and the Royal Family which will enable us to achieve our sustainability goals. By adopting the following key features:

The aim of the Sustainability Strategy Plan is:
To work towards achieving net zero carbon in our scope one and two emissions
To imbed the TREAD Lightly principles into all our activities
To increase our recycling rates and reduce waste
To embed an awareness of sustainability in our learners through curriculum, extracurricular activities, and general ethos

Developing our learners as citizens with an ethical compass, a strong sense of their responsibilities to others and conscious of the impact they can have on their community, society and the planet
